Have Fun While It Lasts!

That aforementioned night in Tuscaloosa came as a shock to more than one fan. The return of the Alabama Shakes seemed like a long shot, especially with how unfortunate the Steve Johnson situation got. Brittany Howard was already having success on her own, and when the lead in a band goes off to do their own thing and kills it, it's really hard to have them come back in. Miracles do happen, though, and that's why we have this Alabama Shakes tour! There's bound to be new music from the band at this point in the tour. At least, that's what's coming through the vine. The three remaining members revealed that they'd been talking about this reunion tour for a while. Perhaps they've already gotten together in the studio, but we're not aware of it yet!      

New music or not, you can expect all of your favorite songs from the iconic Boys & Girls album and Sound & Color to be among the jams the trio will be playing in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Since each of the members of the band has been able to succeed on their own, there's no telling if they're going to want to continue being a part of the Alabama Shakes long-term. This means this tour could be one of the last chances to catch them on stage together. You just never know what the future is going to hold, but in a weird, that's what makes this event even more interesting.
